Another poll, made on Monday, is by PBS News/NPR/Marist, showing Trump ahead of Harris among US registered voters, 46 to 45 percent, with nine percent undecided. Taking the other candidates into the picture, Trump and Harris then display 42 each, with all the rest far behind.

A plurality of respondents, 41 percent, said Biden’s decision increases Democrats’ chances of winning in November, compared with 24 percent who said it decreases the party’s odds and 34 percent who said it makes no difference.
