The Buffalo Bills took a tight 23-20 victory from the New York Jets, Sunday night, at MetLife Stadium; that sums up another frustrating season for the Jets. It was actually the first game under interim coach Jeff Ulbrich for the Jets after Thursday’s resignation of head coach Robert Saleh.
Josh Allen was the quarterback for Buffalo, and he had an absolutely phenomenal game. He had two touchdown passes, along with one rushing touchdown. Allen said after the game that his team was sloppy in the second half of this game but states that there’s nothing like getting the win. “We found a way to win. We got sloppy in the second half; we have to find a way to get more points on the board, but it was a team victory.”
Jets The issue was, the Jets started strong with quarterback Aaron Rodgers throwing for 294 yards, and ran for two touchdowns and one interception. New York took a 10-7 lead after the first quarter, but the Bills responded, ending the half with a 20-17 advantage, thanks in part to a spectacular Hail Mary pass from Rodgers caught by Allen Lazard.
Greg Zuerlein ties the game up for Jets, going in the third quarter. Tyler Bass sealed the deal for Buffalo with a field goal left in the game.
This is now the third consecutive loss for the Jets in the season. The Jets have a record of 2-4 and currently stand in the AFC East third position. Currently, Jets rank behind the Miami Dolphins and the Bills, who are at the top of the division with a 4-2 record.
