Elon Musk has been donating large sums of money to finance Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign by funneling them into a super PAC he established early on in the year known as AmericaPAC. According to sources, the individual had donated over $70 million into the PAC, which happens to be one of the most influential powerhouses for all of Trump’s election campaigns. The pro-PAC organization mainly emphasizes key issues such as free speech as well as gun rights, as it aims at mobilizing millions of voters in crucial battlegrounds like Pennsylvania.
Among those, the one that is taken by Musk includes distributing $1 million to each registered voter in Pennsylvania who signs a petition for constitutional rights, especially the First and Second Amendments. This strategy has caught much attention because of the use of money in promoting political activity, although legal under U.S. election laws because no one is being directly paid to vote for a particular candidate.
Beyond the presidential campaign, AmericaPAC has also set aside millions of dollars into door-to-door canvassing and electing other Republican candidates for Congress races from funds donated to the group by Musk and other donors including Winklevoss twins .
The revenue injected into the AmericaPAC account through support from the multi-millionaire Elon Musk and various efforts in canvassing as strategized by the group to mobilize voters in swing states as the campaign approaches the Election Day.
