The New York Jets finally snapped a dismal streak of five consecutive loss-games with a fabulous 21-13 finish over the Houston Texans led by the spectacular two scoring catches made by Garrett Wilson. Two acrobatic catches during the third and fourth quarters of the match put the game on level footing after the Jets faced the disadvantage of 0-7 at halftime of the match.
His first touchdown catch tied the game, and his second was a leaping, one-handed catch on a 26-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers, initially ruled incomplete but later reversed after a video review confirmed he secured both feet inbounds.
Aaron Rodgers, who had performed poorly in the last few matches, bounced back with a performance of 22 completions out of 32 passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns. Though he didn’t have much of a first half – completing only seven passes to 32 yards – he engineered a second-half comeback to lead the Jets to a victory, their first since September and the first by interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich, and has them in second place now in the AFC East.
Other was the play where Malachi Corley, fresh face in the league from the Texans side, saw his touchdown ruled null reviewing because he dropped before crossing the goal line even though he thought he went over. Joe Mixon scored the Texans only touchdowns, but despite losing their game, they stay intact at the top of their division in AFC South.
This is one game wherein the Jets will win next time as well and probably Rodgers’s show will speak for positive signs going toward betterment in building the further victory with the Wilson breathtaking catches.
