A 54-year-old female from Macomb County, Michigan, had recently figured out she won a $207,199 lottery prize from an email that landed in her Spam folder. The anonymous lady then trusted the e-mail, which was labeled as junk a little less, according to an account from the New York Post.
Realising the Win
All this time, the woman had played some online games which automatically entered her in the Second Chance drawing. She said she was ‘in a fog’ when finding the email from the Michigan Lottery in her Spam folder saying that she had won the BIG CA$H Second Chance jackpot prize.
Email Verification
After a little research, she realized the email was on the up and up. “After some research, I determined how I had obtained the entries, then checked three times to verify the email was legitimate,” she said.
Plans for the Prize
The windfall will go toward paying bills and some investments for the woman.
Other Big Lottery Wins
Last April, against all odds, it was a Laotian immigrant with a diagnosis of cancer who hit the jackpot-the $1.3 billion Powerball prize won by 46-year-old Cheng Saephan. The winning ticket was bought in Portland, Ore., for a drawing held April 7th.
