Vivo is all set to release its new Vivo V50 in India. It is reported that the device could go official as early as the third week of February. Even though an official confirmation is yet to come from the company, leaks have been able to provide a close look at what to expect from the V50, including specifications, pricing, and color variants.
Launch Timeline and Availability
Tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) along with SmartPrix, has confirmed that the Vivo V50 will most probably hit Indian shores by February 18 and the Vivo V50 Pro a little later. The device is expected to come in four color options- blue, grey, rose, and red, giving the users a number of choices depending on their preferences.
Vivo V50 Specifications (Expected)
The Vivo V50 is said to be paired with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, promising amazing performance to users. The general version comes in these three different RAM and storages:
8GB RAM + 128GB storage
8GB RAM + 256GB storage
12GB RAM + 512GB storage
Display and Camera
The V50 will feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260×2,800 pixels for clear and vivid display. The camera section will carry a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a dual rear camera setup, while a 50-megapixel front camera will take care of selfie and video calls.
Battery and Charging
One of the standout features of the device is its 6,500mAh battery, coupled with 80W fast charging support, ensuring that users can quickly recharge their devices and enjoy extended usage throughout the day.
Vivo V50 as a Rebranded Vivo S20
Reports also indicate that the Vivo V50 is, in principle, a rebadged version of the Vivo S20, which launched in China in November 2024. In other words, the specifications of these two devices are going to be the same, while the latter goes for CNY 2,299 (that is, about ₹27,000) in China.
The Vivo V50 seems to be the strongest contender in the mid-range smartphone segment in India. With the powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, more than enough RAM and storage options, top-tier camera, and battery features, it might just become one of the top picks for the country’s users when it goes on sale next month.
