The West Indies have given themselves a real shot at leveling the series after day two of the second Test in Multan, reducing Pakistan to 76-4 in their pursuit of 254 runs. With six more wickets to claim, the West Indies need to make the most of the spin-friendly conditions to force a draw in the series, which currently stands at 1-0 in favor of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s chase crumbled early in day two. West Indies spinner Kevin Sinclair (2-41) was instrumental in breaching Pakistan’s top order. He got Pakistan captain Shan Masood for just two runs and accounted for the prized wicket of Babar Azam, who was caught for 31. Mohammad Hurraira was dismissed for just two, while Gudakesh Motie and Jomel Warrican further tightened the grip on Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Middle Order Shows Signs of Recovery
Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel and nightwatchman Kashif Ali are still at the crease despite the early setbacks. Shakeel, unbeaten on 13, will have to see his side through a tricky period as Pakistan still requires 178 runs for victory. Shakeel’s resistance will be crucial for Pakistan if they are to avoid a series-levelling defeat.
Noman Ali and Sajid Khan Shine for Pakistan
Pakistan’s spinners Noman Ali (4-80) and Sajid Khan (4-76) continue to do the job. Noman has been doing well with the ball and took ten wickets so far in the match. The efforts, however, could not help West Indies keep the hosts at bay who have taken their chances and looked good to pull off a series draw.
West Indies still believe they can take the series.
