Apple reportedly will launch the highly anticipated iPhone 16 series at the “It’s Glowtime” event on September 9. Along with the new iPhones, the Watch Series 10 and other accessories will be launched. However, the star of the show will undoubtedly be the iPhone 16 series, which comes in four models: the iPhone 16, the larger iPhone 16 Plus, the upmarket iPhone 16 Pro, and the high-end iPhone 16 Pro Max.
New Screen Sizes:
Another striking feature of the iPhone 16 series is the different screen sizes that are fitted depending on the user’s preference. For example, there is an iPhone 16 that comes with a 6.1-inch display size, the new size includes the iPhone 16 Pro with a 6.3-inch display, the higher model is the iPhone 16 Plus with its 6.7-inch display, and finally, the largest iPhone ever made is the iPhone 16 Pro Max with a 6.9-inch display size.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus come with a 60Hz refresh rate OLED panel, while the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max up that to a much smoother 120Hz display.

Apple continues to make iterative changes to its design on the iPhone 16 series, adopting new color options and high-end finishes:

- The upcoming series of iPhones, namely the iPhone 16, will all have Apple’s new A18 chip for the first time to unify processor intervention across all models. The Pro and Pro Max variants will run on a speed-binned A18 Pro chip for better performance. Both chips use TSMC’s latest 3nm fabrication, while all phones will have at least 8 GB RAM with 128 GB to 2 TB storage options.
Camera Enhancements:
In total, the major updates that will feature in the camera of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max include:
- 48 MP Ultra-Wide-Angle Lens
- 5x Optical Zoom Telephoto Camera
- Spatial Video Recording with 3D Playback on Apple Vision
- With this camera, the Pros would be perfect for photography enthusiasts, with resolution in video recording remaining capped at 4K.
New Buttons:
Apple seems to be working on adding new buttons to the iPhone 16 series, whereas the Pro models gain an enlarged action button to host fresh capabilities and a new capture button offering advanced photography possibilities.
Apple Intelligence:
The all-new A18 chip brings Apple Intelligence to the iPhone 16 series with advanced AI capabilities. This will probably be released post-launch via an iOS 18.1 update and will pop up on the entire lineup.
