During his visit to Prayagraj, the Chief Minister inspected the ongoing arrangements for the Maha Kumbh Mela, emphasizing that the public’s excitement about staying in the Tent City is high. More than 2,200 camps are being arranged in the Tent City and additional 250 camps in Mela Circuit House for other purposes also, including 175 camps for judges. Extensive infrastructure will support the Mela, such as two cruises, six floating jetties, VIP boats, motorboats, golf carts, and tourist guides. A team of three ADM-level officers will be deployed to supervise these arrangements.

Religious and Medical Support
The Chief Minister began his visit by participating in the Ganga Aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat and visited the Dashashwamedh Mahadev temple to seek blessings for the success of the Maha Kumbh. As part of his inspection, he also visited the Swaroop Rani Hospital and Burn Unit, stressing the importance of 24/7 medical operations during the event. There will be special care taken so that the deficiency of doctors, para medical and medicine doesn’t arise. Male and female separate medical wards will be prepared, and response times of the ambulance are taken close watch of. There are ICU and operation theaters at the hospital’s burn unit. This will cater for the proper care to take in case of emergency situations.

Railway Arrangement
Rail transport would help deal with the huge volume of crowd. The Chief Minister met with the railway officials, asking them to smoothen the coordination between the state government and the railway authorities. The estimated 10 crore pilgrims are going to travel by train, and railway announcements will be in regional languages as part of the plans. The other notable facility is that new shelters are made at Prayagraj Junction with a 22,000 capacity along with proper arrangements for 1 lakh shelters in Prayagraj. Mobile ticketing and fire safety would be provided for safe as well as hassle-free passage to the attendees.

Visit at Prayagraj Airport and Infrastructure Readiness:
He has also visited Prayagraj Airport, to whom significant developments are currently undertaken to make better provision at the airport. This will include expansion of an old terminal, improving parking space facilities, and construction of a new terminal to receive passengers that will come in later. The airport will be fully ready by the first week of January, when the Maha Kumbh will start on January 13. The Chief Minister is satisfied with the work done, and officials are confident that the airport will be ready to handle the influx of devotees.
