One Dead, Two Missing in Iceland Ice Cave Collapse
Reykjavik: Tragedy struck in southeast Iceland on Sunday as an ice cave collapse claimed the life of one and left two others missing. According to police, an ice collapse occurred while a group of 25 tourists from various nationalities was visiting the glacier Breidamerkurjokull.
Ice Cave Collapse Claims One Life, Injures Two
That collapse trapped four people under the ice-the bodies of two of them have so far been found as of Monday. Of the two recovered, one was confirmed dead at the scene while the other was airlifted to the hospital in stable condition. A huge search and rescue operation has been mounted for the two still missing persons.

Rescue teams have been fighting against bad weather to conduct the search operation.
