The Baltimore Ravens mounted a remarkable comeback against the visiting Cincinnati Bengals, who led 21-7 in the third quarter in Maryland. The game changed dramatically in the fourth quarter as Lamar Jackson took things by the reins, chosing three downfield touchdown passes as the Ravens swept past the Bengals for a 35-34 victory.

His game-winner came just before two minutes were left when he threw a five-yard touchdown to wide receiver Rashod Bateman.

Jackson, the current NFL’s Most Valuable Player was restrained in the first half, gaining only 71 yards and one touchdown as the Bengals defense kept him in check. He broke out for 219 yards and three touchdown passes in the second half that carried his team to a win.

The Bengals nearly stole it in the end when wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase reeled in a five-yard touchdown pass, but nobody could have predicted quarterback Joe Burrow would let them get away as he had the ball and 38 seconds remaining with the option to convert two points into a tie. Burrow’s pass to tight end Tanner Hudson fell incomplete, and the Ravens took the win.

The Ravens scored 28 in the second half-more than any team did in a single half this season-and the win gave them a 7-3 record going into their bye week. The Bengals fell to 4-6.
