Concern Over Propaganda Against Armed Forces
Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and other top military commanders expressed grave concern at the spread of propaganda and disinformation against the armed forces during the 84th Formation Commanders Conference in Rawalpindi. The ISPR said that these campaigns, driven by political and external elements, aim to undermine public trust in Pakistan’s institutions.

The forum also called upon the federal government to implement tougher laws for the improper and harmful use of social media, suggesting that those propagating false information deserve to face justice.

Security and Operational Preparedness
The conference discussed internal and external security issues and reconfirmed the readiness of the Army to take the field.
Counterterrorism activities in Balochistan and other hotspots were emphasized. It was committed to the elimination of terrorist networks, including the BLA’s Majeed Brigade, among others.
The commanders also raised their concern over Afghan soil being used by the militants against Pakistan. Authorities urged neighboring Afghanistan to take tangible measures to curb such activities.

Terrorism on the Rise
Terrorist attacks have increased in recent months, especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In November alone, 245 people lost their lives, including 68 security personnel. The TTP’s resurgence after breaking a ceasefire has further worsened the security situation.

Socioeconomic Development Focus
The Army committed to continuing its socioeconomic projects in the less developed regions, especially in Balochistan and  khyber pakhtunkhwa. This goes in line with the welfare of communities that resist terrorism and the development of economies by eliminating crime-terror nexus and other illegal activities.

Professionalism and Preparedness
General Asim Munir reaffirmed the commitment of the Army to professionalism, operational preparedness, and its apolitical nature, promising to defend Pakistan’s security and stability against all odds.

The conference was ended with a tribute to the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians who were martyred in the line of duty.
